Getting to Know Me: A Journey Begins!

 





  Hey there, lovelies! I'm Abimbola but you can call me Abi! Welcome to my very first blog post, where I get to introduce myself and meet you lovely people. So, here's the scoop: I'm a Miami, Florida native, but my roots trace back to Nigeria thanks to my parents. I'm the third child in a family of six, split right down the middle with three boys and three girls. 

  Oh, and did I mention I have this adorable orange tabby cat? We've been inseparable for the past two years, and we bonded during the COVID pandemic when I fell head over heels in love with cats. 

  I'm not just a homebody, though; I'm super active in my community and at school. I'm involved in various clubs and activities, like the Peace Club and MindFULL Me. These clubs focus on students' mental health and creating a better school environment. I'm also a tutor and mentor, lending a helping hand during my study hall. 

  When I'm not busy with school and extracurriculars, you'll find me lending my time to my church. I am a student leader there, assisting during Sunday services and, when I am not in the sanctuary, I am helping out in the kids' ministry. 

  Now, here's something you should know about me - I'm a bit of a hustler. I've had a job since I could remember, dabbling in administrative work, hospitality, and retail. Experience? I've got plenty!

  But wait, there's more. When I'm not juggling all these responsibilities, I absolutely cherish my alone time. It's my chance to recharge and feel my best. 

  Lately, I've been exploring the Hollywood Boardwalk Beach, which you might recognize from my cover photo. It's such a serene place with breathtaking sunsets - my go-to spot for unwinding, second only to my cozy room lol.

      Hey lovelies!   Let me spill the beans about my recent adventures in the world of filmmaking, specifically diving into the daunting task of crafting an opening sequence. Spoiler alert: it's been one heck of a ride, filled with ups, downs, and a whole lot of learning along the way.           So, picture this: I'm a newbie filmmaker, armed with a phone camera, an mission, and not much else. I'm all pumped up to tackle my first-ever opening sequence, thinking, "How hard could it be, right?"        Hey lovelies!! Welcome back to my blog, today I am going to fill you in to what a classmate had to say about my film.   There has been lots of ups and downs this process of making an opening sequence. To be completely sure of our project, I wanted to get the opinions of my peers. I showed my project to a couple of my friends and this is what they had to say. 1. My acting could use a little work - I do not claim to be the best actress in the world. Neither did I want to be in the lead role but I had no option. There were parts of the film where my acting felt awkward to them. They advised that for the next film I go for a different role. This feedback was good for me to realize things I need to work on 2.
