Hey lovelies! We're finally at the end of my first project!! I hope you enjoyed my commercial! Today, I'll talk about my experience making it.       When first hearing about this project I was first amazed at how much work I would need to do. I was thinking that I wouldn't be able to do it because I do not go out as much nor do I have amazing editing skills. Luckily there was a software there for me to help me through it. CapCut was my savior through it all. When I first got on the site it was all new to me, but through easy guides and instructions, I was able to navigate the website. I found the experience of using CapCut fairly easy. I hope to learn even more about it.       Throughout this experience, planning, is the main lesson I learned. For this project we had about 3 weeks to complete it. I thought that this was enough time, considering that the main assignment was my commercial. As I completed each assignment leading up to the commerci

Production In the Making: Cut

Hey lovelies! Thanks for coming back! Last time I saw you, we spoke about the new media I will be using. A little update from my last blog, my friends and I went out to the beach and my cat did pretty good during his photoshoot. Now it's time to reveal how I pieced them together for my commercial. For today's blog we're going to discuss all of the editing I did to get to my final result. This is the fourth and final part of my 'Lights, Camera, Action, Cut' series and I hope you enjoy reading it just as much as I enjoyed telling you about it.     After gathering all my photos and videos, it was time to put them all in to CapCut. Inserting photos and videos was pretty easy but moving the photos and videos to different spots wasn't as easy. Maybe it's just because I was using a template or just because it was my actual first time using it for a project like this. I am still working on it so hopefully I get it right quick.    What I can say is that adding

Hey lovelies! Thanks for coming back! Last time I saw you, we spoke about the software I was going to be using. It has been going ever so smoothly with CapCut. For today's blog we're going to discuss all of the moves I made to make and am making for this commercial. This is the third part of my 'Lights, Camera, Action, Cut' series and I hope you enjoy reading it just as much as I enjoyed telling you about it.         Let's break it down first. The "action" that occurred here was mainly just me scrolling around on my phone to find a photo or video that would best fit for my commercial. At first I thought I was going to include only one of each required piece of media, until I realized that I would need more. Last blog, I went deeper into what I wanted to add which was more of the basic pieces of media. Now I am thinking of going on a broader scale with them.    To fill up more of the time I am going to add more pictures and videos of my siblings a

Hey lovelies! Welcome back! Last time I saw you we spoke about what I am going to plan in my commercial. Today we're gonna do a deep dive into the making of the commercial and show you around the ropes. In this blog we are going to talk about the camera part. To make this commercial I am going to use CapCut which is a specialized video editor that is designed for web and mobile. I have previously seen this app being used to create some of the biggest trends on TikTok. I have even downloaded the app once to participate in one too lol.     Last time I used it I was directed to a template from TikTok so I never got to explore the app. Now that I've got the chance to check out their website there are some things I noticed. They have various video and image templates for whatever you might be looking for, and the options are truly endless. Some of these I recognize from TikTok which is cool. You know what I found funny, they even have a 'For TikTok' selection where

Hey lovelies! Welcome back to the blog it's great to see you again. Last time we spoke, I gave you all a little sneak peak of what I had in mind for my upcoming commercial. Today, we're diving deep into the nitty-gritty of how I'm bringing this whole thing to life, and I can't wait to show you the ropes.      This blog post is all about the lights, camera, action, and cut you know the whole filming shebang. I'll be kicking off my very own four part series and the first part is "lights" which is essentially about the media I'll be using.    In my commercial, I've made some exciting decisions about the pictures and songs I'll add. Let me spill the beans: I'm incredibly excited over the song I picked. Over the weekend, I went on a music hunt to find the perfect vibe that would match the fun and liveliness that I want to be present in my commercial. I listened to a ton of songs, for fun of course, but then, as I was scrolling on TikTo

Diving into the Planning: Behind the Scenes of Making My Personal Commercial

Hey there, lovelies! Welcome back to my blog. Today's post is going to be a bit different because I'm diving into the world of making a commercial all about yours truly, and guess what? I can't wait to share the process with you all.    So, let's get started with the nitty-gritty behind-the-scenes stuff. First off, I'll be using Capcut for this project. You know, it's the app I've seen floating around on TikTok whenever someone makes an edit the most, so I'm feeling a bit familiar with it already. I hope it's user friendly!   In this commercial, I want to showcase a snapshot of my life. That means there'll be a picture of me and, of course, my lovely cat. I'm thinking of using a pic of us together, maybe even one one from the beach, though I'm still on the fence about that part.    And videos? Yep, those are definitely on the menu. One will feature my awesome family, because they're a big part of my life. As for the other video

Getting to Know Me: A Journey Begins!

Hey there, lovelies! I'm Abimbola but you can call me Abi! Welcome to my very first blog post, where I get to introduce myself and meet you lovely people. So, here's the scoop: I'm a Miami, Florida native, but my roots trace back to Nigeria thanks to my parents. I'm the third child in a family of six, split right down the middle with three boys and three girls.    Oh, and did I mention I have this adorable orange tabby cat? We've been inseparable for the past two years, and we bonded during the COVID pandemic when I fell head over heels in love with cats.    I'm not just a homebody, though; I'm super active in my community and at school. I'm involved in various clubs and activities, like the Peace Club and MindFULL Me. These clubs focus on students' mental health and creating a better school environment. I'm also a tutor and mentor, lending a helping hand during my study hall.    When I'm not busy with school and extracurriculars, you'
