Reflection

Hey lovelies! We're finally at the end of my first project!! I hope you enjoyed my commercial! Today, I'll talk about my experience making it.

When first hearing about this project I was first amazed at how much work I would need to do. I was thinking that I wouldn't be able to do it because I do not go out as much nor do I have amazing editing skills. Luckily there was a software there for me to help me through it. CapCut was my savior through it all. When I first got on the site it was all new to me, but through easy guides and instructions, I was able to navigate the website. I found the experience of using CapCut fairly easy. I hope to learn even more about it.

Throughout this experience, planning, is the main lesson I learned. For this project we had about 3 weeks to complete it. I thought that this was enough time, considering that the main assignment was my commercial. As I completed each assignment leading up to the commercial, I realized that I would submit it a day or two from the in class due date. This became a problem as I started to become a bit behind on some assignments and would have to submit one assignment and work on the other right away. The constant procrastination lead me to become a bit stressed out on getting it done on time. Although I try to allocate my time efficiently, I sometimes go off track from having done too much work or stress. I definitely learned to stick to the timeline and flow of things.

For my next project, I will focus on my CapCut skills and time management. I have realized through this project that time is a major part. Even while I was not actively working on my project, I was subconsciously working on it. I would use TikTok and observe the way people use CapCut or I would form ideas in my head of what pieces of media I want to use. On my next project, I will allocate my time more effectively and leave time to relax to prevent procrastination. I will also get more accustomed to using CapCut, as I can see that I will be using it again for my future projects.

I know this one was a bit more of a boring read, but I still hope you enjoyed listening! Thanks for joining me today. I'll see you beautiful people next time. Stay fabulous!
